I love some of the big ones, like XKCD and Penny Arcade.

My favorite lesser known one is Buttersafe.com

What are your favorites?

Dinoasaur Comics is probably my favorite with Wondermark a close second. I also love all the Halfpixel stuff (PvP, Sheldon, Evil Inc., Starslip) and Buttersafe is really great too. I'll have to think about some of my favorite newer and/or lesser known ones.

I've gotten away from the bigger name webcomics lately, but I'm still very faithful to The Phoenix Requiem. ^.^ The lesser known ones are entirely too numerous to list, but a nice start is Rival Angels and The Chronicles of Wyrden.

Interesting. Mostly serious stuff. Do you like any funny ones too, or are you a serious comics only type person?

Reason I ask is, it seems a lot of people assume webcomics are one thing, a genre in and of itself. But really, they are a medium within which are many different genres existing separately.

A great question - I flatter myself that I read a nice variety of comics - strips & stories, funny & dramatic, and a variety of genres ^.^

My first exposure to webcomics started with the video game ones, so I will always have a soft spot in my heart for them.

However, recently, my two favorite comics are http://www.nedroid.com and http://www.daisyowl.com

Nedroid is phenomenal in how ridiculous his characters and jokes are. It's so simple, yet hilarious.

Daisyowl has some great characters, and I really like the art style. The children are pretty darn endearing.
